From August 27 to 31, the VI Forum of Young Diplomats in the BRICS+ format is taking place in Ufa, Russian Federation.
The main theme of the Forum is “The Role of Youth Diplomacy in Strengthening Multilateralism for Fair Global Development and Security.” Organized by the Council of Young Diplomats of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the support of the Roscongress Foundation and the Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the event aims to strengthen youth cooperation, friendship, and trust among the countries of the Global South and their peoples.
Key topics of the working sessions included international cultural, humanitarian, and youth cooperation within the BRICS space, the role of the association in the global political and financial-economic system, global security architecture, and the formation of multipolarity.
“We need to create a platform of trust for investment; therefore, I propose the creation of such a council of private investors from BRICS+ countries. I hope that at the BRICS Summit in October in Kazan, a unified decision will be reached on the creation of new financial mechanisms for mutual settlements, as this is the main issue today,” noted Tatiana Seliverstova.
Margarita Bolycheva, Minister of External Economic Relations and Congress Policy of Bashkortostan, supported the initiative and noted that the creation of a new public body would contribute to strengthening business ties among the countries of the association.
